Die Statue aus der ersten Hälfte des 16. Jh. am Eckhaus Kirchengasse/Salzstraße zeigt die heilige Anna mit ihrer Tochter Maria und dem (barock erneuerten) Jesuskind. Diese Darstellung wird in der christlichen Ikonographie als „Anna selbdritt“ bezeichnet (selbdritt = Teil einer Dreiergruppe, zu dritt).
Die Gassen zwischen Hauptplatz und Pfarrkirche vermitteln noch den Eindruck des „alten Korneuburg“ mit dörflich wirkenden Strukturen. Bemerkenswert ist auch das spätgotische Haus mit Erker in der Salzstraße (Nr. 27).
ANNA SELBDRITT STATUE
The statue from the first half of the 16th century at the house on the corner of Kirchengasse/Salzstraße depicts St Anne with her daughter Mary and the baby Jesus (the latter was restored in the Baroque period). This depiction is referred to in Christian iconography as "Anna selbdritt" (St Anne Trinity).
The alleys between the main square and the parish church still give the impression of the "old Korneuburg" with village-like structures. Also noteworthy is the late Gothic house with a bay window in Salzstraße (no. 27).
